A year ago, Amy Bauer was disappointed with her district finish as she did not qualify for the regionalmeet. Her resolve was to be tested as she trained for the next year, determined not to let that happen again. Tonight, Amy added the title of Regional Champion to her list of 2010 accomplishments along with District Champion. Amy vaulted 9’6″ to win the regional title and qualify for her first state meet. What a great story of determination. Amy and her teammate, Kristen Petry finished 1-2 to sweep the pole vault for Cocoa Beach High School. Pole Vault City is extremely proud of these girls and their accomplishments. Good luck at the state meet next week.
